Viúva Gomes Viticultores Tinto is an authentic and artisanal expression of the Atlantic identity of the Colares region. Produced from a blend of red grape varieties, sourced from three distinct plots of "hard ground" – non-sandy soils, therefore outside the DOC classification – located in the parishes of Colares, São João das Lampas, and São Martinho.
These soils, with their diverse parent rock and extreme proximity to the Atlantic and the Sintra mountains, give the wine a mineral, fresh profile, deeply connected to its terroir. Fermentation is spontaneous, in stainless steel tanks, with destemmed grapes and 5 days of maceration. Aging takes place for 10 months in old 1500-liter barrels made of chestnut and mahogany, materials that respect the natural character of the wine.
