Tiago Cabaço Alicante Bouschet Red

This Alicante Bouschet 2021 is the tenth harvest of a set of single variety wines Tiago Cabaço signature. For us, the choice of Alicante Bouschet, was natural and immediate, for this grape’s wide recognition and growth in the Alentejo and the great results we have had in the winemaking of selected plots. We only selected the plots where the grape expresses its full potential and the richness of our terroir.

Tasting notes

Compact ruby colour, thin but also powerful tannins. Complex aroma with a rich mixture of ripe red fruit notes. Long and elegant finish.

Wine-making

The harvest was performed manually and grapes carried into the winery in small boxes. The grapes, after de-stemming were trodden by foot in modern stainless steel lagares with temperature control, followed by aging in French oak barrels and long aging in bottle.
