The Baião sub-region is the cradle of the Avesso grape variety, where it reaches its peak of quality. It has a citrus green colour and a fresh aroma that harmonises citrus notes and delicate stone fruit nuances. On the palate, the harmony between acidity and body makes it enveloping and incredibly persistent.
