Ribeiro Santo Grande Escolha Red

Ribeiro Santo Grande Escolha Red has an impressive aroma, full of mineral and wild fruit notes, with discreet smoky notes. Serious, with excellent freshness, lots of character and elegance. The harvest took place at the end of September. The grapes were hand-picked into small 18kg boxes, according to a careful selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. The grapes were completely destemmed into small stainless steel presses, where they macerated for 24 hours at a low temperature, before starting alcoholic fermentation, with selected yeasts and at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation lasted around 15 days, with foot treading to ensure good extraction of colour and aromas. After fermentation, it was transferred to new French oak barrels, where it remained for 14 months until bottling and after bottling it remained for a minimum of 6 months in the bottle in a cool cellar. Contains sulphites.
